Our Month of Madness Following BBC Fame
Sorry if we’ve been a bit quiet for the last few weeks…We’ve been working around the clock to process an influx of orders since we appeared on the BBC documentary Life of Pies…a great problem to have obviously!
In case you missed it when it was aired on BBC 1 on Monday 24th June you can watch it here…
The show, which told the behind the scenes story of the 2019 British Pie Awards, attracted an audience of 2.5m, the highest of the series by almost a million!
The night the show aired we had such a huge surge of traffic to our websites they both crashed and within the next week we received hundreds of orders for boxes of our Pies by Post and were busier than ever in our shops! Cue a very busy few weeks for our bakers and everyone else in the business for that matter.
With such a large demand for our pies across the country production was at full capacity. After a small hick-up with our courier we eventually cleared the backlog of orders ensuring the quality of our pies was never compromised.
We want to thank anyone who waited slightly longer for their pies than expected for their patience. We hope the wait was worth it!
Extra Media Attention
In the run up to the show we were in popular demand with appearances on BBC South Today and BBC Radio Sussex.
